TCU Forensics invites you to attend a public debate between TCU and the Great Debaters of Wiley College. This debate commemorates the 80th anniversary of the first interracial debate on a southern US college campus when Wiley debated at TCU in 1935.  The debate will be held at the TCU Library Reading Room, Wednesday, March 18 at 7:00.

The 1935 Wiley season was featured in the 2007 movie “The Great Debaters.” TCU Forensics will host a public forum on Tuesday, March 17 at 11:30 in the Scharbauer Hall Debate Chamber.  Here, you can learn about TCU’s forensics history, and about the 1935 historic debate between TCU and Wiley.
