Amorette Hinderaker is the Convener of Debates and an Associate Professor of Communication Studies at TCU. She coaches the TCU Speech & Debate Team and works to bring open dialogue and debate to the TCU community. Prior to joining the TCU faculty, she served as the Director of Forensics at North Dakota State University from 2006-2012.
Her research in organizational communication explores socialization, exit, identity, and narrative in religious contexts. Her work is published in journals including the Journal of Applied Communication Research, Western Journal of Communication, and Journal of Communication and Religion.
She is a member of the National Communication Association and the current national president-elect of Pi Kappa Delta.
